Net proceeds from this event support the community service programs throughout the Houston area and the world. Rotary Club of Houston supports public health initiatives including immunizations and cancer research; youth and education programs in our schools teaching life skills, free enterprise, and service above self; veterans programs providing housing, medical support and transitional services to our hometown heroes; and a fresh start for ex-offenders. The largest single Rotary project in the world is the Jesse H. Jones Rotary House International for cancer patients and their families located in the Houston Medical Center. Our international service includes support of medical and computer equipment in Haiti, Brazil, Honduras and Argentina; bed netting to reduce malaria in Togo; school supplies and books in Africa.
