Eric Liu, DC, CCSP

District Governor, 2016-17

Eric is a first generation Chinese American who was born in Taiwan.  He graduated from St. Dominic’s High School in Taiwan, served in the Taiwanese Army from 1983 to 1985, and  was honorably discharged from the Army as a First Sergeant, following which he moved to the United States. 

After moving to America from Taiwan, Eric earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas.  He then went on to Texas Chiropractic College and received his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree, graduating with honors as the class Valedictorian.  He also obtained his credentials as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner.  Eric started his private practice in Houston in 2001, and has been practicing ever since. 

Eric was invited to join the Rotary Club of Memorial-Spring Branch in 2004, where he served as Club Treasurer in 2006-07, Secretary in 2007-08, President-Elect in 2008-09, and President in 2009-10.  He served as Assistant Governor from 2010 to 2013, and was named Assistant Governor of the Year in 2010-11.  Eric is a Major Donor and member of the Paul Harris Society, Bequest Society, and Polio Plus Society.

Eric met his wife Sandra in 1986, while they were both attending college.  They were married in 1988, and have one son, Blake, who is attending his second year of college.  Sandra has been actively involved with District 5890 on many committees.  She is a Charter Member of the Rotary Community Corps, and received the Service Above Self Award from Rotary International in 2013.  Both Sandra and Blake are Paul Harris Fellows.
