Scott Rainey was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  He attended the University of Oklahoma and is a proud Sooner!  Scott is married to Martha Bowles, who he met in church in Clear Lake, TX.  Scott has a daughter Taylor McConnell who has blessed him with three granddaughters Parker Anne, Charlie Mae, and Mason Rayne.  Scott’s Step-Son Chase Cusack lives in New York City.  Scott and Martha have three dogs, Desmond, Sophie Ann, and Macie, all Yorkies.
 
Scott started in the oil and gas business as a Landman in the early 1980’s.  When the oil crash of the mid ‘80’s occurred, Scott transitioned into the chemical and environmental business.  He moved to Houston in 1990 to work full time in the environmental business doing hazardous waste disposal, and in plant work including tank cleaning.  Scott was a part of a startup environmental company that was sold in the late 90’s.  He then started his current company, Hydrocarbon Resource Recovery, which trades petrochemicals and fuel products.
 
Scott is involved in several charitable organizations including Space Center Rotary where he has served in several capacities.  He was Club President in 2014-15 and was honored as the Large Club President of the Year.  He was an Assistant Governor in 2016-17 & 2017-18, and AG of the Year 2016-17.  He was selected to be District Governor for the year 2020-21.  Scott is a Major Donor and member of the White Hat Society.
 
He has served as a member in the Church Council of Gateway Community Church, and he is also a past member on the board of the Clear Creek Education Foundation, where again he has served in serval capacities.
 
Scott’s passions include His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, his family, and Sooner football.
