We've missed our in person meetings and will now begin weekly virtual events. First up is Bob Wells who will clarify the SBA's Payroll Protection Plan. Several of our members heard him at a breakfast meeting and said he cleared up the mystery and others would greatly benefit from hearing him.This will be at noon 4/16/20. You are welcome to share the link with your friends and associates.
Prior to this we will hear our weekly COVID update hosted by our member, Stephen Williams. We are so excited the dynamic team of Stephen and the City and Harris County chief health doctors will again answer our questions. Please submit them to me today and log in to HTV at 11 a.m. This time is always subject to change because we are using the City of Houston TV station and breaking news and the Mayor will always come first.
Bob acts as a trusted advisor to owners of small to medium sized businesses. Bob has been a member of our club for four years and is a member of the Board of Directors and past-Treasurer of the club. Bob has nearly 25 years of commercial banking experience with large and small businesses as a loan officer at Northern Trust, Union Bank of Switzerland and Bank of America. He served on the Credit Committee at UBS. He has been a CFO to multiple businesses over the past 15 years and has been a business owner, himself. Bob is passionate about the dreams and goals of business owners.
First time using Microsoft Teams? Here's what you do. A few minutes before noon, click
- If you've previously installed the Teams application, you'll be asked if you want to open it. Click 'Cancel'.
- Then click the option to 'Join on the web instead'.
- Chrome will ask you if you want to allow teams.microsoft.com to use your microphone and camera. Select 'allow' (or block if you don't want to be seen or heard in the meeting).
- You'll be prompted to enter your name. Then click 'Join now' to join the meeting.
- The message 'Someone in the meeting should let you in soon' will be displayed. Be patient - the meeting organizer will admit you.
- Once admitted, you can click on the movie-camera icon or the microphone icon to toggle your video and microphone on and off.
